How it Works
Smart Skills Data & Assessment
Our proprietary AI tool analyses each partnering school district’s regional job market and helps inform what specific skill sets are sought after in all current IT job openings in the area. A dedicated IT industry expert works in collaboration with the district and teachers to help enhance established curriculum and aid in designing practical labs that help enforce those skills based on the gathered data.
DL & Code Repository
Each school district is assigned a dedicated BSI industry expert who works individually with teachers selected by the district. The expert serves to provide support to teachers with regard to their IT curriculum, as well as assist in designing practical labs centered around the student, the subject or a problem. As students complete the labs, their work is stored in a Code Repository that showcases their developing skills. A graduating senior could utilize this digital portfolio to demonstrate their acumen to a prospective employer.
Internships & Career Placement
Students in our program will have the opportunity to enter internships during their 10th and 11th grade years either through BSI Solutions or through one of our corporate partners. An effort will also be made to identify internship opportunities in each school district’s region. Able and willing graduates of the program will then be matched with those same organizations to begin their IT careers upon graduation.
Corporate Partners
BSI Solutions relies on partnerships to aid in placing students in careers following graduation. Our ever-growing list of organizations that we work with include the Goodwill, Department of Veterans Affairs, Duke Energy, Ally Bank and many more. While we have many established partners at the corporate, state and federal levels we are always searching for added relationships looking to give back to students. We are constantly looking to expand our partnerships and will work on securing partnerships in the regions where our program is installed.
